Christina raised Kea to be a strong, loving, and giving lady. Her creative genes were naturally passed to her youngest daughter. While suffering from cancer, she tried every outlet to help ease the pain from the horrible disease. One outlet was natural essential oils. They helped aid with some pain and discomfort. She lost her battle with cancer in 2014 but was never shy about sharing her story.

Suffering from an "invisible disease" can make life difficult. Kea was introduced to the benefits of essential oils and wanted to share her story with other warriors. Being the endometriosis warrior that she is, she had to come up with a way to not only share her story but help others obtain the knowledge of how essential oils can help them with their daily struggles. Applying essential oils every day wasn't an easy task, so Kea had to come up with a way that she could continue to wear oils every day, but not take long to apply each morning.

After Christina & Kea both benefited from essential oils, it was only right for Kea to honor her mother and create C&K's Self Kare. Since its formation, Kea has been able to educate and provide people with the knowledge of the benefits of essential oils and make them custom jewelry to wear daily, to help in the application of the essential oils.
